Audu Maikori is reportedly undergoing emergency medical treatment after he collapsed at the Muson Centre in Lagos.
According to LIB, the Choc City boss had just concluded his a Q &A session with Mo Abudu at the on-going 2017 Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) event holding at Muson Center, before stepping out to take selfies with fans. It was at this point the Choc City boss slumped and witnesses at the scene immediately rushed him to the St Nicholas Hospital where he is currently receiving emergency medical treatment.
Maikori has recently been embroiled in a legal saga with the Kaduna State Government.
Recall that he was whisked away by security operatives on February 17th following a series of tweets sent to his followers alleging taht five students of the College of Education, GidanWaya in Kaduna state, were ambushed and killed by Fulani herdsmen. Maikori was later released following the intervention of former minister Oby Ezekwesili and many Nigerians.
However, last week, the Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, vowed to prosecute the music executive on grounds that the tweets could have incited the killing of innocent people. He is yet to take action.
Maikori’s medical condition was unknown as at press time.
